Israeli wine is produced by hundreds of wineries are producing Israeli Wine. From small boutique winery  to large factory producing over twenty million bottles/year. Since biblical times, wine had been produced in Israel. In 2012, more than 30 million usd of Israeli wine have been exported

Wine industry was originally founded by Baron Edmond de Rothschild. Today you can easily identify winemaking in five regions: Galilee (best place for viticulture due to cool breezes, well-drained soils , high elevation); Judean Hills around city of Jerusalem; Samson, between Coastal Plain and Judean Hills; Negev a desert region where specific irrigation made winemaking possible; Sharon plain the largest grape growing, near the sea around Zichron Yaakov and Binyamina.
